Yesterday the furniture store called to say that Aiden's bed and dresser had come in, so after work Kenny stopped by to pick it up. We weren't going to be the suckers that paid the store an extra thirty dollars to deliver it while we have a truck bed that is perfectly capable of hauling a little bit of furniture! So he picked it up and brought it home. They were in giant, very heavy boxes that even when I was being my very toughest they wouldn't budge. So, we enlisted the help of our neighbor to haul them in. Then, we proceeded to take the bed out of the boxes in pieces. It took us two hours to put together the bed, and when we were done we had two huge boards left over. Who knows what we were supposed to do with them. But the bed looks ok without them so we just forgot about them and moved on. Luckily the dresser was already put together so that was easy. Aiden loves his new bed and quickly broke it in by using it as a trampoline. It took a few minutes for him to feel ok about me leaving him alone there with that new bed, but he quickly settled down and went to sleep.
For those of you freaked out by the thing hanging out of Aiden's mouth, that is what we lovingly refer to as his rag. He sucks on it like a pacifier for comfort, and the monkey is his little friend that keeps him company at night.
I know this picture is wierd, because clearly those two greens clash. The toy box we made for Aiden doen't go with his room anymore, and we'd like to know what we should do with it now. Any suggestions?

Can't you just paint it to match? It is a really cute toy box! I'm glad he was ok with being in his bed. Has he been climbing right back out of it when you put him in it? Good luck!
Paint it! You can take a piece of the bed - one of those parts you had left over - and any paint store can computer match it. Or, paint it a complimentary color. Listen to me be a Mom! I'm glad he loves his new bed.
such cute furniture! You could just paint over it. He is growing up so fast!
