Some things about Aiden you may or may not know

  • Aiden loves to talk on the phone, and often pretends the remote control, or our internet air card is a phone. In fact, he will put anything up to his ear and talk on it if it is the right size and shape.
  • He also likes to say prayers, when we say family prayers he folds his arms, and when he feels like praying he puts his little fists up next to his eyes, kind of bows his head and whispers gibberish.
  • He weighs 27 lb.'s now, and is 34 inches tall which puts him above the 100th percentile.
  • None of his pants fit him, the ones that fit him around the waist are floods, and the ones that are the right length fall off. He doesn't mess around with pants that wont stay on either, if they start to droop, he just pulls them off and goes on his way.
  • He hated nursery at first, but now he loves it and as soon as it is time to go in he just runs right in by himself and finds himself a chair.
  • He loves to go "night night" and pretends to go night night about 10 times a day, but he will let us know when he is tired and really wants to go to bed. We take him upstairs and he gets into bed after a story and prayers, and within minutes he is asleep.
  • He loves books, he says "boo boo" as he hands me book after book after book all day long. I have most of his favorites memorized already--now I can see why mom still to this day has "Are You My Mother?" memorized.
  • He loves his baths, and only is ready to get out after we wash his hair and face-- he hates that.
  • He loves music of any kind, and he loves to dance--the kid has rhythm!
  • He loves to play with other kids, but they are usually way older and faster than him, so he just runs around after them chasing them everywhere they go.
  • He does NOT like to be cold.
  • He loves bananas, he would eat 7 a day if we let him.
  • He does not have fat ankles like his momma.
  • He likes his daddy more than he likes his momma.
  • Momma is actually last on the list of favorite people, it doesn't really matter who is around. If grandma and grandpa are around, it goes grandma, then grandpa, then daddy, then momma. It's OK though, because after everyone else leaves and he's stuck with me, he still runs to me for comfort!
  • He still loves his rag and I'm pretty sure we are going to have a hard time breaking him of that habit.
  • His momma and daddy love him more than anything, and it's hard to imagine what life would be like without him.

You've only had this little boy a little over 20 months and look at all you know about him. Now, that is the mark of a good mother. And the mark of good Grammmas, since we get chosen first. Actually, I'm sure it's just that he knows he can get away with ANYTHING when Gramma is around - and the novelty of someone new and different who loves him.
