day four

Ah, finally, the last day (of Disneyland). Is anyone else getting kind of sick of Disneyland? It's much better in person, I promise. Day four everybody split up for a little while and did their own thing. Kenny, Aiden, Capri and I spent a little bit of time in Fantasyland riding the cute story rides, like Peter Pan, Snow White, and Pinocchio. For lunch we all met up and ate together, then we all went on Casey Jr.

After leaving Fantasyland, we headed to Toon Town to see Minnie and get pictures, and we also stood in a really long line to see Mickey in his little studio. I hate the lighting in there though, my picture always turns out horrible.A quick stop to drive Mickey's car...

And then Aiden convinced Grandma to go on a roller coaster with him! See it in the background? It is an actual rollercoaster, and yes, Grandma G. rode it! It was a big step for her. Aiden was so good to hold her hand the whole time and convince her that it would, in fact, be ok.

Next we headed to Space Mountain because we had fast pass tickets. While we were sitting and waiting, who should arrive in the outdoor sunlight? But Mickey Mouse! And because he had just showed up, we were practically first in line! Yay for being in the right place at the right time, but boo for having stood in line for 35+ minutes an hour prior.

After we rode Space Mountain (which Aiden declared fun, but a little scary, and yes, he would ride it again so he must have liked it) we went back over to California Adventure Park to ride the rides we wanted to one last time. First stop was the new Little Mermaid ride. I was so excited to ride it, but didn't think it would happen because the previous days the line was hours long. But when we happened on it, the line was only 15 minutes. It was such a cute ride! I love how clever they are with those rides. Next we headed to ride California Screamin' again. We rode it once together, and then I stayed off while the rest of them went on it again really quick... so I took pictures.

They come out and sit here for a minute, and then are suddenly shot forward up the track. Ahh, it's the best starting out super fast, and not having to build up speed with gravity. It makes the ride so much more fun.

Next we split up and Kenny, Aiden and I went on Soarin' Over California while the other daredevil kids went once more on the Tower of Terror. After all that, we met up and all together left both parks for good, stopping on the way out to buy one thing for each kid. We did so good not spending very much money! Aiden had spotted this DARLING Disneyland Railroad train set that he wanted so bad, so we told him if he was good every day, and didn't find anything he liked better, we would get it for him. And of course, he held out. So we got him that, and Capri got a cute Minnie Mouse toy she can play with in two years...I can't wait!
