lots of bug catching

A couple of weeks ago we went to Moab for a few days.

Kenny drew out for the early season turkey hunt, so he took off a few days from work,

and we headed down for a long weekend of fun, Kenny to hunt and the rest of us to hang

out with family and play.

Turned out Kenny was super sick, so he (after hunting a little the first day) laid in bed

at his mom's while the rest of us had fun and played. Poor Kenny! He didn't really show any signs of

improvement until the last day we were there, and he pulled himself together enough to hunt again the morning that we headed back home. So, in a nutshell, he did not get his turkey. He saw a doctor after we got home, and turned out, he had Pneumonia. Big fat bummer! (He's all better now.)

My parents yard is pretty big, and has all kinds of treasures for kids. Someone traded my dad this arcade style foosball table for some work that he did for them. So now they have two :) (foosball tables, that is)

They also had plenty of roly poly bugs for Aiden to catch. He's had a bug catching obsession lately. 

This is a look I get a lot from Capri. It says to me "I am tired, grumpy, and if you take away this pacifier I will LOSE IT!".

The multitude of bugs Aiden caught. You can't really see them, but I'll bet you can imagine! There were tons of them.

On Sunday before everyone else had to head back home (we were staying for a few more days, but my siblings and their kids were leaving to go home that day.) we went down to the park to find and catch caterpillars. He's been wanting to find caterpillars for a while, and asking me where they live.

There is a certain time of year in Moab that the parks are just crawling with them,

so he was excited when we went to Moab and found some. 

He put some grass in his cup so they would have something to eat :)

And when we got ready to leave the park, I talked him into letting the caterpillars go near a tree.

Because nobody wants caterpillar nests to take over their trees! Disgusting.
