more football

Flag football has been so much fun, and has kept
us so busy! They have practices once a week, and a game
every Saturday.

They lost the first couple of games, but have won a few since,
and now they've won 3 and they've lost 3.
They have one more game in two weeks, so we'll see how they
end out their season.

Kenny has enjoyed coaching more than he thought he would
and has done so great. It's pretty cute watching him run around
with all those kids. He has them trained pretty well.
If he needs to get their attention, all he has to do is yell "Ballgame!"
and all of the kids yell back "Focus!" and they come running. It's like magic.

It's fun to watch Aiden too, because he's really learned a lot since the season
started. At first, he would just run around in circles when everybody started
moving, as you can see in the picture above. Everybody is looking/running
one direction, and Aiden is running the complete opposite direction.

Keeping Capri happy and in one place for a whole game is impossible,
so we have to improvise. We usually have some food on hand to feed her so she doesn't
get grumpy, and a lot of times it requires technology to keep her entertained.

I found this picture to show how much better Aiden is getting at doing
what he's supposed to. His main concern is getting the flags of the guys with the ball.
I keep wanting him to get the ball and run with it, because my boy is fast
and I know he could outrun most of those boys if he could get past them. But in
his mind, his job is pulling off flags and he takes his job very seriously.

They had a picture day, and I discreetly hid behind the photographer and
took my own picture. I'm getting so cheap.

So fun! And how ingenious of Kenny. Glad he likes coaching. There aren't enough good coaches in the world.
